San Luis Creek Inn – San Luis Obisbo California
Just off Highway 101 in Mid-state California, the area known as San Luis Obisbo, is a wine region in the Mid-state of California. Nestled in the hills of this region known for its wines and views, as well as the state college, is the San Luis Creek Lodge. Recently renovated in the mid-mod casual California style. Each room is situated and nestled within the property with its own feature like a fireplace, a view, or the upper levels that look out to the hills. Think LODGE in the most chic way. Oh, and if we forgot to mention the creek, yes, that’s part of the property as well.
Decor, Style and Curation at the San Luis Creek Lodge
The exterior of the buildings are all painted white, with chic black doors and trim. The exterior is also textured with cottage style vertical designs made of wood slats, giving the lodge a cottage feel. The flat black trim has a satin finish that highlights the mid-mod style on the exterior of the buildings. Greenery and local plantings and flowers that are a bit wild, make the California casual style gardens come alive.
What are the Amenities?
Where to begin! The wonderful bath products by AESOP make the spa style bathrooms totally enjoyable. The beautifully appointed marble countertops and details in the bathroom for each room make even the smallest room seem luxurious. The big screen TV in each room is situated for maximum viewing and comfort. But wait, there’s more: The coffee and Croissant service is delivered to your room in a cute tote bag while you sleep so when you wake up, your morning routine is even better. Local coffee brew and bakery goods make this a special touch. The fridge in your room and the snack line up is also creative. The wine* provided is locally sourced and you can enjoy it in your room poured in the provided wine glasses.
How about the Comforts in the Room?
We can absolutely confirm that the beautiful cotton sheets and towels are ultra comfortable and the sleeping experience is also top notch. But wait, there’s more: the hotel is QUIET. You can actually sleep and not hear the slamming of doors, the whir of the maid’s vacuum or conversation(I have stayed in luxury hotels and hearing the maids clean in the morning, way before I want to get up, is one of my pet peeves).
